Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is issued by Few & Far LLC ("Few & Far," "we," "us," or "our"), operator of https://fewandfar.dev (the "Site").

For privacy requests, contact contact@fewandfar.dev. We act as the controller (or equivalent) of personal information collected through the Site.

This Policy is written for transparency and compliance hygiene. It is not legal advice and does not form a client relationship.

This Policy applies to information we collect when you visit the Site, contact us (including by email), or otherwise interact with our public web presence.

It does not apply to client workspaces, products, or services governed by a separate written agreement, statement of work, or product-specific privacy notice. Those documents control if they conflict with this Policy.

Third-party sites we link to (for example LinkedIn) have their own policies. We are not responsible for their practices.

Information you provide. When you email or message us, we receive the content you choose to send, typically name, email address, company, project details, and any attachments. Please do not send passwords, government ID numbers, payment card data, health data, or other sensitive information through ordinary email unless we expressly request a secure channel.

Automatic technical data. When you load the Site, our hosting and infrastructure providers may process IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser and device characteristics, referring URL, pages requested, timestamps, and security/diagnostic logs. This is standard for operating and protecting a website.

Product and performance analytics. The Site uses Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, provided by our hosting provider, to measure page views, referrers, device and browser categories, and page-performance metrics. These tools are cookieless, do not build cross-site advertising profiles, and report to us in aggregate. Vercel processes this data as our service provider.

Chat assistant. The Site embeds an AI chat assistant (Strata) so visitors can ask questions about Few & Far. If you open the chat, we and our chat provider process the messages you send, the assistant's replies, and basic technical metadata about the session, in order to answer you, improve the assistant, and prevent abuse. Chat is optional. Do not send confidential, proprietary, or sensitive personal information through the chat. See the Terms of Service for the limits of anything the assistant tells you.

Cookies and similar technologies. The Site may use strictly necessary cookies or local storage required for security, load balancing, or basic functionality, and the chat assistant may use local storage to keep your conversation open as you browse. We do not deploy advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels. If we introduce non-essential cookies or advertising technologies, we will update this Policy and, where required, obtain consent or provide opt-out controls.

We do not knowingly collect precise geolocation, biometric identifiers, or special-category data through the Site.

We use information only as reasonably necessary to:

Respond to inquiries and evaluate potential engagements; communicate about projects, proposals, or follow-ups you request.

Operate, secure, debug, and improve the Site (including abuse prevention, fraud detection, and availability).

Comply with law, enforce our Terms, protect rights, safety, and property of Few & Far, our users, or others; and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

We do not use Site visitors' personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we process personal data where: (a) you have given consent; (b) processing is necessary to take steps at your request prior to a contract; (c) processing is necessary for our legitimate interests in operating a professional business and website, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights; or (d) processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation.

We do not sell personal information and we do not “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA).

We may disclose information to: (a) infrastructure, hosting, and analytics providers that process data on our instructions to run and measure the Site, currently Vercel (hosting, CDN, Web Analytics, Speed Insights) and Strata (chat assistant); (b) professional advisors (legal, accounting) under confidentiality; (c) authorities when required by law, valid legal process, or to protect vital interests; (d) a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.

Service providers are permitted to use personal information only to perform services for us and not for their own marketing, except as required by law.

We are based in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our providers operate. Those jurisdictions may have different data-protection laws than your own.

Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms (such as standard contractual clauses or provider certifications) for restricted transfers.

We retain correspondence and related records for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes above, typically for the life of an inquiry or engagement plus a reasonable period for business, tax, audit, dispute, or legal-hold needs, then delete or de-identify when no longer required, unless law requires longer retention.

Server logs are generally retained for shorter operational windows consistent with security and abuse prevention, unless a longer period is needed for investigation.

We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of a marketing website and professional email correspondence. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; you use the Site and email at your own risk regarding residual security risk.

If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information in a way that triggers notice obligations, we will notify you and/or regulators as required by applicable law.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent where processing is consent-based; and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

California residents may have rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale/sharing (we do not sell or share as defined above), and not to be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information collected via the Site for purposes that require a right to limit under CPRA beyond what is necessary to provide requested services.

To exercise rights, email contact@fewandfar.dev with “Privacy Request” in the subject line and enough detail for us to verify and respond. We may need to confirm your identity and will respond within the timeframes required by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

You may unsubscribe from optional marketing email if we ever send it. Transactional or engagement-related messages about a conversation you started are not “marketing” for this purpose.

The Site is directed to adults and business professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 (or under 13 where COPPA applies). If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Some browsers offer “Do Not Track” signals. There is no industry consensus on how to respond; the Site does not currently alter behavior solely based on DNT signals. We describe our tracking practices in this Policy instead.

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in law, technology, or our practices. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we publish revisions. Material changes will be indicated by updating that date and, where appropriate, additional notice on the Site.

Continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acknowledgment of the revised Policy for Site use. Where consent is required, we will obtain it.
